Bridgette Martin Hard, PhD
Bridgette Martin Hard co-founded the Psychology One Conference in 2012 (with James Gross from Stanford University) and has directed it every year since. Bridgette is currently an Associate Professor of the Practice in Duke University's Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, where she teaches Introductory Psychology, as well as courses in teaching, classroom research, and the psychology of "student success". She is also the director of BRITElab (Behavioral Research Informing Teaching Excellence). Prior to joining the faculty at Duke, Bridgette managed the Psychology One Program at Stanford. In 2012, her work with the Psychology One Program earned her Stanford's Lloyd L. Dinkelspiel Award for exceptional contributions to undergraduate education.

Bridgette received her BS in Psychology from Furman University where she studied with Charles Brewer (namesake of APA's Charles L. Brewer Distinguished Teaching of Psychology Award) and then completed her PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Stanford University in 2006. She was the recipient of a National Research Service Award to pursue postdoctoral research in Developmental Psychology at the University of Oregon.

Kathleen Huges Stellmach, PhD
Kathleen Hughes Stellmach is a Professor of Psychology for Pasco-Hernando State College and serves as the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department Chair for Arts and Sciences.  She is the Past-President for Psi Beta, the National Honor Society in Psychology for Community Colleges. She was President of Psi Beta from 2015-2017 and Vice-President of the Southeast Region from 2010-2015.  In 2012, Dr. Stellmach was awarded the NISOD Excellence Award.  Dr. Hughes Stellmach has worked in higher education for 15 years as both an administrator responsible for assessment, curriculum, and student success and as a faculty member, teaching both face-to-face and online classes.  Her first career was in the area of human-computer interaction where she held titles such as usability specialist and director of user experience. Dr. Hughes Stellmach is determined to help students connect psychology to their everyday life, school, and work experiences. She is the coordinator for service learning experiences at her institution and was awarded a faculty chair award for the 2018-2019 academic year to develop college-wide resources to support faculty across disciplines infuse service learning in their courses.  Her focus is on mentoring students and providing them with ways to enhance their professional development skills through applied experiences, such as research and service projects.

Steve Jones
​Steve Jones has taught social studies for more than twenty years in Durham Public Schools, including fifteen years teaching intro psychology or AP Psychology. He’s a former chair of the national committee of Teachers of Psychology in Secondary Schools (TOPSS), a division of the APA’s Educational Directorate. In 2016 he received the APA TOPSS Charles T. Blair-Broeker Excellence in Teaching Award for high school psychology. He has been certified by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards in Adolescence and Young Adulthood/Social Studies-History. He’s also a co-founder of the blog Teaching High School Psychology. Steve lives in Durham with his wife and two children, and loves baseball, crossword puzzles, and cold IPAs.

Benjamin White, PhD
Benjamin White is a Professor of Psychology at Blinn College where he teaches General and Social Psychology with an emphasis on assisting students in developing practical applications of material to their individual lives. He serves as the Faculty Fellow for the Center for Teaching and Learning, developing and presenting workshops on a variety of topics concerning andragogy, teaching methods, and student success with a goal to provide faculty with different perspectives and methodologies to promote success for themselves and their students inside and outside of the classroom. He is also a member of the Psi Beta / Psychology Club research group which provides students with an opportunity to participate in a national research project for which Blinn College is this year’s Psi Beta National Research Study host institution.
